The last photo shows Evans Baird (and the hands of owner Bert Allee) holding the components of a disassembled Haskell Bass. The pipe-inside-a-pipe was invented to give the benefits and sound of an open pipe, but with roughly half the length, thereby saving space. Haskell (the inventor) worked for Estey Organ Co., hence the appearance of Haskell Basses in many Estey organs.
