Focal Length Comparisons
Nearly every beginning book on photography has a page like this devoted to showing the differences in focal lengths - and how focal length changes magnification and angle of view. Here's mine! And photos of the lenses I shot them with. I have about 60 pix; the thumbnails below are shortcuts to only a few. From there, use the navatagion buttons at the bottom of the page. If you have a DX camera sensor, there is a 1.5x multiplication factor. e.g. A DX lens at 50mm would render roughly the same magnification/angle of view as a 75mm on a full-frame (FX) camera/lens.
